Job Description

Operations Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Operations Specialist to support daily manufacturing and production operations in a custom fabrication environment. This role is responsible for coordinating workflow, supporting production activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, assisting with material movement, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, assembly, or industrial operations and is comfortable working closely with production, quality, warehouse, and leadership teams. A strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Support daily manufacturing and production activities to ensure efficiency and on-time completion of work orders. Coordinate materials, components, tools, and equipment throughout the fabrication and assembly process. Assist with inventory management, material tracking, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy. Maintain accurate production records, quality documentation, and operational reports. Support receiving, staging, storage, and movement of raw materials and finished products. Communicate production progress, material shortages, and operational concerns to supervisors and team members. Assist with fabrication, assembly, and general production support as needed. Work closely with quality teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards. Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Operate material handling equipment and production equipment when trained and authorized. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Perform additional operational and manufacturing support duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, mechanical operations, logistics, or warehouse environments preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools, equipment, and production machinery. Experience reading work orders, production documents, and manufacturing instructions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP, inventory management, or production tracking systems is a plus. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Comfortable working in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and material handling devices when authorized. Ability to work around machinery, metal components, and production equipment while following all safety requirements.
Pay:
$27.00 - $31.99 per hour
