Overview Position:
Maintenance Technician (Contract)
Industry:
Food & Beverage Manufacturing Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Traveling Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at a food and beverage manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on contract position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and ensure safe operations. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery. Diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, pumps, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, and pneumatic systems. Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner. Complete maintenance documentation accurately. Follow all plant safety, food safety, and GMP requirements. Work effectively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Qualifications Minimum of •5 years of industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience•. Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Willingness and ability to travel to the assigned project location. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to pass required pre-employment screenings. Preferred Experience PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) VFDs, motors, and control systems Conveyors, packaging equipment, and automated production lines Preventative maintenance programs Employment Type Contract Competitive hourly pay Travel expenses and per diem may be provided, when applicable.
Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
