Onsite Job Description Job Description:
The primary purpose of the maintenance technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality.
Complies with applicable regulations and the department's safety program.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner.
Perform duties to maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
Identifies and recommends corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
Maintain building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing.
Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience in fast paced manufacturing environment.
Any equivalent of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair
Must have a good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.
Knowledge and experience with PLCs, drives are preferred.
Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
Forklift experience is required; training will be provided.
