Job Description
Kudzu Staffing is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will be dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and experienced with general building and equipment maintenance. This position performs a variety of repairs and preventative maintenance involving plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, heating and cooling systems, painting, landscaping, locks, and other facility systems. Requirements of the Maintenance Technician High school diploma or equivalent required Previous maintenance or related experience preferred Knowledge of general carpentry and repair Basic electrical and plumbing repair knowledge Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and senior maintenance personnel Ability to safely operate a work van and trailer Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods Ability to climb ladders, bend, crawl, and work in awkward or confined spaces Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team Benefits of the Maintenance Technician Company truck provided Full-time position Opportunity to expand maintenance and repair skills Consistent work with a variety of day-to-day responsibilities Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Inspect equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify needed repairs Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine necessary repairs Perform general maintenance and repairs that do not require a specialized technician Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, lock, and facility repairs Assist with heating and cooling system maintenance Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and roofs Assist with landscaping and general facility upkeep as needed Clean and maintain assigned work areas and facilities Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance Move, build, install, and set up shelving, storage systems, and seating Safely operate a work van and trailer Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned
