Clean Harbors seeks a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic to join our dedicated team in the Automotive division, ensuring the operational integrity of our fleet used in environmental, energy, and industrial services. This role is critical for maintaining the safety and reliability of our vehicles, which are essential for effectively delivering our services across North America. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mechanics and a commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. Responsibilities Perform regular maintenance and diagnostic tests on vehicles and equipment. Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations in vehicle maintenance. Repair or replace malfunctioning components like engines, transmissions, and differentials. Conduct safety inspections and routine servicing of all fleet vehicles. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work. Collaborate with the fleet management team to schedule services and manage downtime. Adapt to new technologies and techniques for vehicle maintenance as required. Required Skills Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems diagnostics. Ability to work with diagnostic computers and complex technical equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented. Experience with heavy equipment and commercial vehicles preferred. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and management.
