Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman to join Zack of All Trades. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment across various building systems and infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills, knowledge, and experience in a fast-paced setting dedicated to excellence. Duties Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building interior systems, including plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC units, and facilities equipment. Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage to ensure optimal operation. Carry out electrical work such as wiring, installing switches/outlets, repairing electrical equipment, and using tools like ohmmeters for diagnostics. Assist with carpentry tasks including maintenance painting, door/frame repairs, and other interior building projects. Support HVAC system repair and maintenance activities to ensure climate control efficiency. Follow safety protocols while working with electrical systems or mechanical components. Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally. Read and interpret schematics for various systems to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Lead or assist with small projects related to facilities maintenance while adhering to safety standards. Requirements Experience with general maintenance, repair operations, or facilities management. Hands-on skills using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting electrical issues, and repairing electrical equipment. Knowledge of plumbing systems maintenance and repair techniques. Familiarity with HVAC system repair procedures and HVAC components. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and customer interaction. Ability to perform building interior maintenance tasks such as painting and carpentry efficiently. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously. Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
