is hiring an experienced Tool & Die Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing operation in the Charleston, SC area. We are moving FAST! What You'll Do As a Tool & Die Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping production running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Perform hands-on maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and improvement of production dies . Respond to die downtime and recovery issues and restore equipment to production as quickly as possible. Monitor dies for potential problems and identify issues before they result in production downtime. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on dies and associated equipment. Complete die modifications and improvements to improve quality, reliability, and running efficiency . Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems . Troubleshoot process water controls, lines, and associated components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes for die repair and maintenance. Perform welding, grinding, and hard finishing as required. Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment to evaluate components and completed work. Read and interpret 2D drawings and basic GD&T . Support engineering with short- and long-term tooling and die improvement projects. Perform machine checks, zone inspections, line troubleshooting, and repair reporting. Support weekend, holiday, and scheduled shutdown die maintenance activities. Assist with training and development of other die maintenance associates. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures. What We're Looking For Required High School Diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of hands-on die technician / die maintenance experience. Strong experience with die repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Welding and grinding experience. General electrical troubleshooting knowledge. Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems . Ability to read and understand 2D drawings . Basic understanding of GD&T . Experience using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools . Strong troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving skills. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Self-starter with a proactive approach to maintenance. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Experience Candidates with any of the following backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply: Die casting Aluminum die casting Automotive manufacturing Metal stamping Progressive dies Tool & die manufacturing Production tooling Machine tool experience Automotive component manufacturing Why Apply?
