Join a Leader in Renewable Energy - Maintenance Tech (Aberdeen, SD) Glacial Lakes Energy, LLC (GLE) About the Role Glacial Lakes Energy (GLE), a leader in the corn ethanol industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mina , SD . Founded in 2001, GLE employs approximately 205 team members across four South Dakota ethanol facilities located in Watertown, Huron, Aberdeen, and Mina. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled technician who thrives on troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment at our state-of-the-art renewable fuels facility, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all plant process and utility equipment, buildings, and grounds. Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment including pumps, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, electrical components, and grain/elevator systems. Maintain and repair centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, and related systems. Conduct welding and pipe fitting as needed. Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations and safety protocols. Respond to maintenance call-ins as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Technical training in Mechanical Systems, HVAC, Electrical, Building Trades, or Welding preferred. 1-2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field; ethanol plant experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with 4-20 mA instrumentation and control systems. Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
