Commodity Marketing Representative Mina, South Dakota Looking to grow your career in the renewable fuels industry? This is your opportunity! Glacial Lakes Energy (GLE) —a leader in corn ethanol production—is seeking a Commodity Marketing Representative to join our team in Mina, SD. GLE proudly operates four ethanol facilities in Watertown, Huron, Aberdeen, and Mina , employing approximately 200 team members and supporting the local agricultural economy. Position Summary The Commodity Marketing Representative's primary duties are marketing distillers products and maximizing revenue from Co-Products for GLE's continued success. The position is also heavily involved with logistics to ensure smooth running of GLE's ethanol operation. Related responsibilities include backing up Co-Products Manager as needed. Employment for this position is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment requirements. ️ Key Responsibilities Market distillers products to producers utilizing phone and electronic methods Utilize independent discretion to commit GLE in financial dealings Develop and maintain a customer base for distillers products of both existing and potential customers Diligently manage all aspects code of commodity contract administration Demonstrate understanding of distillers market as well as industry market fundamentals Monitor market competition of both local and regional distillers markets Track and value quality of distillers products Complete inventory and/or position reports for management and individual success Schedule loads to coordinate with GLE Operations, Customer, and Logistics partners to meet all parties needs Build relationships both in person and virtually with existing and potential customer base Visit feed customers on site and in the community to develop relationships and market Monitor open receivables to ensure all accounts are up to date and in compliance Maintain understanding of USDA Feed regulations, news and licensing requirements Focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of the job Be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner Maintain high level of customer service Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills High School or equivalent is required, 4-year college degree preferred but not required Minimum of one to three years of feed/ distillers merchandising experience is preferred but not required Effective oral and written communication skills are essential Knowledge and experience working with Agris is highly desired Proven customer services skills are required Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and other similar software Must be able to communicate clearly in English Why Join GLE?
