Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This role is vital to the upkeep and smooth operation of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks with a strong focus on safety, customer service, and timely repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of residential and commercial units to identify and address issues promptly. Troubleshoot and repair systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building components. Complete work orders efficiently and professionally, including minor carpentry, drywall, and painting tasks. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution. Conduct preventative maintenance to help reduce long-term repair costs and ensure property functionality. Install and repair fixtures, appliances, locks, and other building equipment as needed. Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Maintain organized records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent. Collaborate with team members, vendors, and contractors to ensure high-quality outcomes. Provide excellent customer service to tenants, clients, and property owners during interactions. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and property standards.
On-Call Rotation:
To best serve our tenants, technicians participate in a rotating on-call schedule , which means you'll occasionally take after-hours or weekend calls when it's your turn. The schedule is shared equally among the team, allowing for flexibility and balance while helping us respond quickly to urgent needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC is preferred. General experience with light carpentry, painting, and drywall repair. Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently. Effective communication and interpersonal skills when working with tenants and team members. Attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-functioning properties. Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize multiple tasks across properties. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be physically able to perform duties including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in varied environments. Experience in both residential and commercial property maintenance preferred. $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
