Job Description
Description Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems to ensure operational safety and productivity at all times. Upkeep and maintenance of grounds including snow removal. Some janitorial duties may be included. Investigate malfunction of machinery and equipment to determine need for repair in a timely manner. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to shop equipment Assist with dismantling machines or equipment, replace defective parts and motors, and adjust feed mechanisms. Paint machines or equipment to prevent corrosion. Assist with building and facility repairs including electrical, heating/HVAC, plumbing and structural. May oversee contractors hired to perform building and facility repairs, equipment maintenance and repairs. Ensure all materials and equipment are organized, used and stored properly. Follow all established quality guidelines. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Follow established safety guidelines. Perform additional duties as requested. Requirements Knowledge and experience with basic hand tools Basic computer skills Experience operating forklifts and skid-steer Basic electrical experience Candidates should be adept at reading electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
