Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for Facility upkeep including but not limited to equipment repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of hospital campus consistent with the Medical Center's strategies and objectives including: Assist supervisor/Director of Plant Facilities in meeting compliance with city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes. According to assignment, job responsibilities may include; boiler watch, powerhouse equipment monitoring and equipment management, plumbing repair, light bulb replacement, lighting ballast replacement, assisting with inclement weather conditions, TV calls, HVAC calls, PEVCO management, Fire alarm response, furniture repair, maintain knowledge of BAS, kitchen equipment, preventative maintenance of specified utility systems. Maintains excellent working relationship with other hospital departments. Supports and carries out the hospital policies and procedures. Supports the department director, supervisor and department staff Education High School Diploma Required Additional Experience Requirements Three years previous experience in healthcare preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical systems preferred. Must possess good mechanical skills and good judgement abilities. Must maintain aggressiveness in completing assigned job requirements.
