Job Description

About the Role As a Field Equipment Technician, you will serve as the primary expert responsible for the end-to-end deployment and commissioning of high-capacity industrial machinery. You will leverage your mechanical and electrical expertise to ensure that every installation meets rigorous performance standards, directly impacting the operational success of our commercial clients. Responsibilities Execute the full lifecycle of equipment deployment, from initial site arrival and mechanical assembly to final system start-up and testing. Integrate complex machinery into existing facility infrastructure, ensuring seamless connections to electrical, plumbing, gas, and ventilation systems. Interpret technical blueprints and wiring diagrams to guarantee precise configuration and compliance with safety codes. Optimize system performance by leveling, anchoring, and calibrating units to meet manufacturer specifications. Provide comprehensive operational training to facility staff, ensuring they are equipped to manage daily maintenance and usage. Maintain high standards of site logistics by coordinating effectively with general contractors and facility management teams. Document all installation activities, including inspection checklists and warranty registrations, to ensure accurate record-keeping. Manage field assets, including company vehicles and specialized tool inventories, to ensure operational readiness. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, and bending. Demonstrated proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Preferred Skills 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial equipment maintenance or repair. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Experience with digital ticketing or dispatch systems for customer support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
