A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team for the third shift. This vital role involves ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Technician will utilize their technical expertise to troubleshoot complex systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support continuous production flow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and quality are paramount. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance skills, along with a passion for problem-solving and operational excellence.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Include, but are not limited to: Welding (MIG) due to maintenance issues. Repair and maintain weld fixtures. Operation of all tool room machinery. Building prototype products and test units. Daily and monthly maintenance, which include monthly fire extinguisher check, monthly housekeeping audit, maintenance records and internal auditor temporarily. Manage the preventative maintenance program to include; performing the pm schedule as assigned on the maintenance calendar, complete all documentation, and place all documents in their proper locations in the maintenance folders. Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven Maintenance experience working in a manufacturing facility or industrial maintenance environment with minimum of one year Experience in MIG welding. Knowledge of basic tool room skills preferred. Ability to obtain JOST International Fork Truck Certification. Must be able to work flexible work schedule. Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures. Ability to gain knowledge and perform in all areas of production. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and mechanical repairs.. Experience operating scissor lifts or similar aerial work platforms safely preferred. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, multimeters for diagnostics. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including installation, troubleshooting, and repair is highly desirable. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams accurately for effective troubleshooting. Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation when collaborating across teams or supporting internal clients
