Personnel Placements is hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic for a manufacturing facility in Humboldt, TN. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, installations, and modifications to help keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities Inspect and diagnose equipment in a safe and efficient manner Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, packaging equipment, AGVs, GIA equipment, FANUC robots, and other production machinery Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes of mechanical and electrical problems Install new or refurbished parts on various types of equipment Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems Work with electrical systems ranging from 24V DC and 120V AC up to 480V 3-phase AC Record repairs completed and parts/materials used Clean, inspect, and lubricate moving components Perform scheduled preventative maintenance according to established procedures Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and time spent Report safety and quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor Work in a variety of environments, including indoor/outdoor areas, cold and warm conditions, crawl spaces, and elevated areas Follow all safety procedures and company policies Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Strong math and reading skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong mechanical aptitude Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Electrical experience with 24V
DC, 120V
AC, and up to 480V 3-phase highly desired Knowledge of Ladder Logic and Allen-Bradley PLCs Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Previous maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred Must follow all safety and quality guidelines Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
