Description Job Summary:

Bongards' Creameries is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic based out of our Humboldt facility. The maintenance mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing cheese-making machinery in a high-speed production environment. Responsibilities also include installing and modifying related systems in the facility as a whole.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect and diagnose equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, wrappers, packaging equipment, AGV, GIA, FANUC Robots

Find root cause in defective equipment

Install parts (new or refurbished) on various types of equipment

Able to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electronic equipment (24v DC, 120v AC to 480v 3phase AC)

Record repairs made and inventory used

Clean and lubricate moving components

Performs work on machines according to Preventative Maintenance Schedule

Maintains detailed log of work completed, materials used, time spent, etc.

Must report all Food Safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or designated replacement

Must be comfortable to work indoor/outdoor, cold/warm environments, crawl spaces and elevated areas

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Excellent Math and Reading skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Electrical experience with 24v DC, and 120vAC up to 480V 3 phase highly desired

Strong mechanical aptitude

Knowledge of Ladder Logic, Allen Bradley PLCs

Knowledge of Schematics

Knowledge of LOTO Procedures Ability to work independently

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

Previous maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred

Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines

Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement

Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

Ability to spend long periods of time standing

Schedule:

Night Shift 6:00pm to 6:00am Following a 2-2-3 schedule
