Job Description
PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance Team Lead, the Maintenance Tech III is responsible for advanced maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facility and production equipment. The Maintenance Tech III performs complex troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and critical PMs with minimal supervision. This role supports departmental operations by executing repairs per SOP's, Work Orders and assigned PM's while providing technical guidance to lower‑level technicians.RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform scheduled P.M.'s on equipment and record all necessary data as required and in accordance with Company SOP's and work instructions. Provide advanced troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC components. Responsibility to keep Maintenance Management informed of all developments on a routine basis through electronic and written briefings. Perform required paperwork and documentation, work orders and P.M. documents in an accurate, clear, timely manner. Work additional hours to complete repairs to accommodate business needs or as requested. Work schedule may vary to accommodate manufacturing/processing functions (weekends/shifts). Perform facility operations including major/minor repairs to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, boiler, chiller, and building systems. Maintain an organized and clean workspace at all times Ensure the security of the building and property during shifts. Operate snow removal equipment during off‑shift operations when necessary. Maintain boiler documented checks during off‑shift operations including weekends when necessary. Maintain chiller documented checks during off‑shift operations including weekends when necessary. Check alarm notifications during shift and respond with appropriate corrective actions. Must wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for the assigned task. Well versed with company quality policies and procedures. Well versed with departmental documents including record keeping, SOP's, PM's, Work Orders, Work Instructions, Environmental Logs, and procedures. Provide guidance and support to Maintenance Tech 1 and 2 personnel as needed. Miscellaneous duties as required or requested.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience in repair and maintenance Advanced troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems Excellent English verbal and reading skills Excellent ability to write routine reports and correspondence Flexibility of schedule to accommodate facility needs Due to the operational needs of our manufacturing environment, employees in this position are required to maintain reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work alone and direct employees Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed Fork truck operations required Scissor lift operation requiredPreferred:
