Required Job Summary As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities at our franchise Sun Tan City and Buff City Soap locations throughout Tennessee and North Carolina . The primary focus of this position is keeping equipment operating properly and ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained. This is a hands-on position for someone who is self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, and comfortable learning new skills. Electrical experience is preferred, but a basic understanding of electricity and a willingness to learn are essential. You don't have to know how to do everything when you start — but you MUST be willing to learn, troubleshoot, and try things you've never done before. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance Perform preventative maintenance on tanning and fitness equipment. Repair and maintain tanning beds and spray booths. Troubleshoot and trace wiring and electrical issues. Replace major and minor equipment components. Change lamps in tanning beds Repair and maintain lights, cables, and other equipment. Identify and resolve equipment problems in a timely manner. Facility Maintenance Maintain the overall appearance and condition of assigned facilities. Perform general cosmetic repairs and upkeep. Perform minor plumbing repairs. Perform basic electrical work. Diagnose minor computer issues. Maintain restrooms, fixtures, and other facility components. Address maintenance issues throughout the locations as needed. Essential Requirements Basic knowledge of tools and electricity is required . Much of the day-to-day maintenance work involves electrical troubleshooting. Reliable transportation capable of transporting 6-foot boxes of lamps is a MUST . Your transportation must be available for your use ALL DAY while working. Willingness and ability to travel for work. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability and willingness to learn and attempt repairs or tasks you may not have previously performed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building materials. Electrical experience is preferred, but basic knowledge will work Ability to read schematics is a plus. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite. Strong problem-solving and resolution skills. Excellent customer service skills. Strong listening skills. Well organized and attentive to detail. Strong time-management skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Hardworking, enthusiastic, and energetic. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Travel Requirements This position requires regular travel between our franchise Sun Tan City and Buff City Soap locations throughout Tennessee and North Carolina . Travel is generally required approximately 1-2 times/month, depending on demand. Travel assignments are typically three to four days . The position may also require up to two weeks of out-of-town training , with expenses paid by the company. Schedule & Work Expectations Full-time position. Monday-Friday schedule. 8-hour shifts. Approximately 40-45 hours per week, depending on business needs and position classification. Maintenance Technicians are required to be at the assigned location by 8:00 a.m. each morning . Must be available for alternating on-call shifts with other technicians. Must be able to manage daily and weekly maintenance schedules and reports. May be responsible for tracking and recording monthly expenses. Must work cooperatively with salon staff and other team members. Physical Requirements Continual standing and walking throughout the shift. Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair work. Ability to travel between locations and transport required maintenance supplies and equipment. Ability to lift more than fifty pounds.Compensation & Benefits Pay:
