Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Door Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing residential doors, ensuring each project meets high standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help enhance the security, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our clients' homes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your construction and carpentry skills to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment. As an independent door contractor, you have the flexibility to work a schedule that is convenient for you (i.e. Monday-Wednesday, weekends, or daily from 9am-2pm, etc). Duties Measure door openings accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment. Install various types of doors including interior, exterior, metal, and wood doors using hand tools and power tools. Perform glass installation for door panels or related fixtures with precision and care. Use caulking, trim carpentry, and locksmithing techniques to finish installations professionally. Handle heavy lifting of doors, frames, and related materials safely while adhering to safety protocols. Apply mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting door hardware issues or adjusting door mechanisms. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety standards are met throughout each project. Requirements Must be able to pass a background check. Must possess a pick-up truck for the transporting of doors to the customer's home. Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on door hanging, framing, or carpentry preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment essential for door installation projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a daily basis. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during unforeseen challenges. Valid construction or handyman experience with a focus on residential door projects preferred.
