Job Description
Company Overview Taldeco is an Industrial Consultant specializing in Engineering, Skilled Trades, and Production services. We collaborate with manufacturers, OEMs, distributors, and integrators across Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, and Kentucky to support their facility maintenance and operational needs. Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment within manufacturing facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep production lines running smoothly by diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery and systems in a dynamic industrial environment. Duties Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and industrial machinery Troubleshoot equipment failures using schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and low voltage testers to identify faults in electrical systems Repair or replace mechanical components using precision measuring instruments and welding techniques such as stick welding Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document maintenance activities and track equipment history Diagnose issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components to ensure proper operation of automated systems Assist with troubleshooting pneumatic systems and hydraulic machinery to minimize downtime Skills Extensive experience working in manufacturing facilities with industrial maintenance responsibilities Proficiency with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping Strong mechanical knowledge including equipment troubleshooting and repair techniques Skilled in electrical diagnostics, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting Ability to operate scissor lifts and perform maintenance at elevated heights safely Experience with HVAC/R systems, HVAC troubleshooting, and refrigeration is highly desirable Competence in welding (stick welding preferred) and mechanical repairs using precision instruments Familiarity with industrial electrician practices including low voltage systems and electrical blueprint reading Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, engineering troubleshooting methods, and schematics interpretation Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation to communicate effectively with team members and clients Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to keeping industrial operations running efficiently! Pay:
