Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing and warehouse operations by performing basic maintenance tasks, assisting with new project installations, and ensuring equipment and systems operate safely and reliably. This role involves mechanical, plumbing, and pipefitting work, as well as the use of a preventive maintenance computer system and a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities Assist with new project installations to support manufacturing and warehouse operations. Perform basic pipefitting tasks, including PVC work, and complete plumbing installation and repair. Handle small mechanical installations on equipment and systems as needed. Complete basic repairs and ongoing maintenance on plant equipment and infrastructure. Use and update the preventive maintenance computer system to track and complete scheduled work. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and piping issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Work with hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform maintenance tasks. Install, maintain, and repair pumps and related components. Work with electrical conduit and use multi meters to support basic electrical troubleshooting within scope of the role. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working in a chemical plant and non-climate-controlled environment. Collaborate with operations and other departments to minimize downtime and maintain smooth production flow. Essential Skills Hands-on troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in basic pipefitting, including PVC piping installation and repair. Experience with plumbing installation and plumbing repair tasks. Ability to perform small mechanical installations and basic equipment maintenance. Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and use of a preventive maintenance computer system. Ability to work safely and effectively with a variety of hand tools and power tools. Experience working with pumps, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Understanding of piping systems and conduit installation in an industrial setting. Ability to use multi meters for basic electrical checks and troubleshooting. HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment. Ability to work in a chemical plant environment and non-climate-controlled conditions while following safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role. Experience with pipefitting, including PVC piping in process or utility systems. Experience working with pumps, pneumatics, and related mechanical systems. Exposure to electrical systems, including conduit installation and basic testing with multi meters. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems. HVAC experience supporting facility comfort or process-related systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, and piping systems. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple maintenance requests. Commitment to safety and adherence to plant procedures and guidelines. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of La Vergne, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $70720.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance options, vision insurance, dental insurance, company paid life insurance and short/long term disability insurance, voluntary critical illness and accident insurance, and a 401K Plan with employer matching and profit-sharing eligibility. Employees are also eligible for regular bonuses. We recognize 12 paid holidays per year and provide three weeks vacation plus paid sick time annually.
