a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;} About the Role Marine Components is seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment and facility systems. This position plays a critical role in supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly. Based on recent Maintenance Technician job descriptions used within the organization, the role focuses on production equipment maintenance, facility support, safety, and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment throughout the facility. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on machinery and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Respond to production equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations. Support facility maintenance activities, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, compressed air systems, and general building repairs. Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime. Assist with installation, relocation, modification, and startup of production equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance documentation. Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety requirements while performing maintenance activities. Work closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams to resolve equipment issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and equipment performance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in after-hours, weekend, or emergency maintenance activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Basic knowledge of industrial equipment and manufacturing operations. Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical systems. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, compressed air systems, or facility maintenance. Welding and fabrication experience. Experience with preventive maintenance programs. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. What Success Looks Like Equipment downtime is minimized through timely troubleshooting and repair.
