Job Description

DN Plastics is looking for a Maintenance Technician with strong electrical and controls expertise to support our plastic compounding operation. This role goes beyond routine repairs — you'll troubleshoot machine controls, diagnose electrical faults, and help drive continuous process improvements that keep our equipment running at peak reliability. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair machine controls, electrical circuits, and automation systems on compounding and production equipment Diagnose and resolve issues across PLCs, control panels, sensors, motors, drives, and related electrical systems Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and improve process reliability in the compounding operation Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation Maintain accurate maintenance and troubleshooting logs Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures Collaborate with production staff and maintenance leadership to plan maintenance around production schedules Assist with parts inventory, identifying and requesting electrical/controls components as needed
