Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will directly impact the guest experience by ensuring that all physical aspects of the hotel—rooms, amenities, and facilities—are operating at peak performance. From resolving in-room issues to keeping systems like HVAC and lighting running smoothly, your hands-on approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment that enhances the overall guest stay and supports long-term operational efficiency.
HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools. Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed. Program phone equipment according to hotel needs. Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis. Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer. Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets. Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies. Learn emergency procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Timely resolution of guest service requests with a calm, professional demeanor that reflects HM Alpha values. Consistently monitors equipment, maintains records, and follows up on preventative maintenance tasks. Maintains open communication with the Front Desk and Chief Engineer, working collaboratively to address property needs.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment.
Experience with:
Routine upkeep of hotel facilities, pool areas, and public spaces. Monitoring daily equipment operations and utility meter readings. Programming and maintaining hotel systems. Managing small inventories of tools and maintenance parts. Documenting completed repairs and guest service tasks.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or coursework in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields is a plus.
