Located in Nashville, TN, this 3rd shift role operates on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with compensation ranging from $32.00 to $34.05 per hour depending on your background. You will be working within a GMP-certified food manufacturing environment.
Your Impact:
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our overnight operations. You will play a vital role in the upkeep, diagnostics, and restoration of our production machinery, such as automated canning lines and conveyor systems, ensuring that our facility maintains peak operational efficiency while strictly adhering to food safety protocols. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives on resolving intricate electromechanical challenges during active production cycles. Operational Schedule 3rd Shift hours: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM Standard schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend requirements Flexibility to work overtime or adjust hours to meet production demands is required Core Duties Execute proactive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks on canning and conveyor production machinery Resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions to help maximize equipment uptime Identify and fix faults within sensor and camera systems connected to Allen Bradley PLC frameworks Manage the calibration and troubleshooting of VFDs and Servo drive components Utilize Allen Bradley PLC logic to pinpoint errors and perform necessary minor adjustments to keep the line moving Analyze technical diagrams, electrical blueprints, and manuals to facilitate effective repairs and new installations Log all maintenance tasks and inspections within our CMMS tracking platform Ensure all actions strictly follow sanitation and food safety GMP guidelines to protect product integrity Provide rapid response to machinery failures to minimize production delays and prevent product waste Partner with quality, engineering, and production departments to contribute to ongoing operational improvements Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping the workspace tidy and organized Support the installation of new equipment, system upgrades, and line changeovers Required Qualifications Minimum of two years in industrial maintenance, ideally within a GMP-regulated or food and beverage setting Practical experience maintaining automated packaging or canning lines and conveyor systems Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC hardware Experience working with sensor-based camera and photo eye technology Background in the maintenance and repair of VFDs and Servo drives Solid grasp of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems Capability to interpret complex technical drawings and electrical schematics Proven ability to manage tasks independently during night shifts with limited oversight Strong analytical skills to help resolve issues quickly under the pressure of production downtime High school diploma or GED; completion of a technical or trade program is highly desirable Physical Demands Must be able to lift weights of up to 50 lbs Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and climbing for long durations Comfortable working in a food production setting with fluctuating temperatures, noise, and wet or dry conditions Able to perform tasks at heights or in tight spaces while utilizing appropriate safety gear Compensation Pay ranges from $32.00 to $34.50 per hour, commensurate with your professional experience
