Competitive pay based on experience + gas allowance We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician / Cabin Inspector to help maintain and inspect vacation rental properties throughout Wears Valley . This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can identify maintenance issues before they become bigger problems. You will be traveling between properties in your personal vehicle , and a gas allowance will be provided to help cover your fuel expenses. Responsibilities Maintenance & Property Care Perform general maintenance and repairs at cabins and rental properties Troubleshoot and address plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and other maintenance issues Replace light bulbs, batteries, filters, smoke detector batteries, and other common items Repair or replace minor fixtures, hardware, locks, faucets, toilets, and other property items Handle basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and touch-up work Inspect decks, railings, steps, furniture, appliances, and other areas for safety or repair needs Identify larger issues that require a licensed contractor and report them promptly Help with preventative maintenance to keep properties in excellent condition Cabin Inspections & Cleaning Complete detailed inspections of cabins between guest stays Check that everything is clean, functioning properly, and guest-ready Inspect kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, decks, hot tubs, and exterior areas Verify appliances, lights, TVs, remotes, Wi-Fi, locks, and other amenities are working Look for damage, missing items, safety concerns, or maintenance issues Perform light cleaning and touch-up cleaning when needed Assist with deeper cleaning when necessary or coordinate/report cleaning needs Document and communicate issues with management What We're Looking For Reliable and dependable Strong attention to detail Good problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently Basic knowledge of general property maintenance and repairs Able to work outdoors and in different weather conditions Good communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Must be willing to travel between properties throughout Wears Valley Previous maintenance, construction, property management, hotel, or vacation-rental experience is a plus
