Facilities Maintenance Technician Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Smyrna, TN, is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team! Facilities Maintenance Technician Position Details:

Pay:

$26-$29 per hour (based on experience)

Shift:

1st Shift | 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Contract:

Contract (Ending on December 31, 2026)

Facilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Perform light electrical work, including changing light bulbs, ballasts, switches, and sensors, as well as checking, repairing, and replacing exit lighting. Handle general repair tasks such as hanging signs, pictures, and whiteboards; repairing/installing doors, handles, kick plates, closers, and partitions. Carry out carpentry repairs on partitions, furniture (desks, chairs, tables, and shelves), and ceiling grids. Replace ceiling tiles and complete drywall patching/repairs. Conduct basic painting and flooring repairs (tile and carpet). Perform light plumbing work, including replacing flush valves, rebuilding toilet tanks, and addressing minor plumbing needs. Inspect, maintain, and document fire extinguisher compliance. Support welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

Facilities Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in general maintenance or a related role. Welding and fabrication experience a plus. Journeyman license preferred but not required. Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Ability to pass background check and drug screening per customer requirements.
