Job Description

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations at the Vonore facility. This role supports production through preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement activities in a fast‑paced automotive manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues Read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics Work with three-phase electrical systems, PLCs, CNC equipment, and relay logic Diagnose motors, drives, servos, steppers, encoders, and related components Perform basic PLC and CNC troubleshooting and programming Use computers for diagnostics and basic network communication Maintain gearboxes, power transmission systems, ball screws, linear rails, and bearings Perform basic fabrication work including cutting, welding, and grinding Modify and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems as needed Use precision measurement tools, multimeters, and oscilloscopes Identify needed parts and install replacements or suitable alternatives Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (automotive preferred). Strong troubleshooting skills in at least two of the following areas: Electrical (480V systems, motor controls, VFDs) Mechanical (bearings, gearboxes, alignment) Hydraulics and pneumatics PLCs and automation (Allen‑Bradley preferred) Ability to read schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation. Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS. Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an automotive Tier‑1 manufacturing facility. PLC troubleshooting and programming experience. Robotics experience (Fanuc or similar). Welding and fabrication experience. Knowledge of TPM principles. Forklift or lift certification (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work around moving machinery, loud noise, and industrial environments. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required. HTIVON1
