The Hydraulic Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic equipment, test stands, pumps, piping, valves, filtration systems, and related facility support equipment. This is a hands-on maintenance position focused on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, safe operation, and timely repair of hydraulic systems in a manufacturing environment. The position is not an assembly role and does not perform production assembly of flight hardware.
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose hydraulic and mechanical system faults. Finding the root causes of system failures using pressure gauges, flow meters, schematics, technical manuals, and other diagnostic tools. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, accumulators, hoses, fittings, piping, and filtration systems. Rebuild or replace worn, leaking, damaged, or failed pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and fluid hoses. Build, plumb, and test new hydraulic assemblies or circuits according to blueprints. Change fluids, replace filters, and calibrate system pressures to optimize performance. Maintain and repair hydraulic water pumps, pipes, check valves and filtration. Follow strict lockout/tagout procedures when dealing with high-pressure systems. Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts usage, inspection results, and completed work documentation. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational certification in industrial maintenance or fluid power is preferred. 1 to 5 years of hands-on mechanical or hydraulic repair experience. Ability to read complex hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Excellent communications skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams. Multi-tasker who pays attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Keeps assigned areas clean and organized Experience with adaptive problem-solving approach and implementing solutions. Work well in a team-based stakeholder driven environment. Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance needs, and coordinate effectively with Operations and other departments. Possess excellent listening skills. Physical Requirements Be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Ability to be forklift certified. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time Experience Preferred Experience in computer/data inputs (performing system transactions). Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
