• Pay based on experience Aggieland Overhead Door & Fireplace is hiring installation technicians to install and service garage doors, openers, and fireplaces in homes across College Station, Bryan, and surrounding areas.

You'll work with your hands, see a finished job at the end of most days, and leave customers with something they use every day.

Experience or attitude:

either one gets you in the door You do not need industry experience to apply. We are looking for one of two kinds of people, and we will gladly hire either. Experienced installers. If you have installed garage doors, openers, fireplaces, stoves, or gas appliances, or worked in a related trade such as HVAC, carpentry, or construction, we want to talk to you. Your pay will reflect what you bring. Hard workers ready to learn. If you show up on time, take pride in your work, treat people well, and want to learn a skilled trade, we will train you from the ground up, with pay while you learn. Skills can be taught. What you'll do Install, repair, and service residential garage doors, openers, springs, tracks, and hardware Install gas, electric, and wood-burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and venting Measure openings, review job details, and load the truck with the right materials Test every installation for safe operation and walk the customer through how it works Follow manufacturer instructions, building codes, and company safety practices Keep your truck, tools, and job sites clean and organized Represent the company professionally in customers' homes What we're looking for Required Reliable and on time, every day Positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable using hand and power tools, or eager to learn them Able to lift heavy weight, climb ladders, and work in garages, attics, and on roofs in varying weather. Yes, it can get hot. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Courteous and clear when talking with customers Able to pass a background check and drug screen Helpful, but not required Garage door, fireplace, and gas log installation experience Basic carpentry, framing, and low-voltage electrical experience Gas line or venting experience Industry certifications What we offer Competitive hourly pay, with higher starting pay for experienced installers Paid, hands-on training alongside an experienced technician Steady, year-round work: garage doors stay busy all year and fireplace season peaks in fall and winter Room to grow into lead installer, service, or sales roles
