Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel's facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of facility functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance skills in a dynamic hospitality setting. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair facilities equipment using schematics, hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and other specialized tools. Conduct welding and carpentry tasks to repair or modify structural elements or fixtures within the hotel. Maintain building interior surfaces through painting, maintenance painting, and other cosmetic repairs to uphold aesthetic standards. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics for complex automation or control system troubleshooting. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, providing excellent customer service while resolving issues efficiently. Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership in facilities maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in mechanical knowledge, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, schematics, electrical equipment repair (including use of ohmmeters), and understanding of PLCs. Ability to perform welding, carpentry (including residential painting), plumbing system maintenance and repair, and general MRO (maintenance, repair & operations). Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members. Knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC systems, electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, and building interior components. Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems. Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety standards and quality assurance. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
