In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of building systems, equipment, and interior spaces. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your diverse maintenance skills in a dynamic setting, contributing directly to the overall efficiency and safety of our facilities. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Conduct repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and building interior components using hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters. Execute welding tasks and carpentry projects to repair or modify structural elements and fixtures within the facility. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively. Maintain facilities equipment by performing maintenance painting, repairs, and ensuring all systems meet safety standards. Support maintenance painting projects for residential or commercial interiors to improve aesthetics and protect surfaces. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) where applicable for automation tasks; follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities. Assist with building interior maintenance tasks including drywall repair, flooring upkeep, and general housekeeping of mechanical spaces. Manage plumbing system maintenance and repairs to prevent leaks or failures; ensure all plumbing functions comply with local codes. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents, communicating clearly about repair timelines and solutions. Support leadership in organizing work schedules, maintaining detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed. Qualifications Proven experience in general maintenance, repair operations (MRO), or facilities maintenance roles with a broad skill set across electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repair. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, welding techniques, and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems is preferred. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; experience with electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters is a plus. Knowledge of building interior maintenance including residential painting techniques; ability to perform maintenance painting efficiently. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions or explanations to team members or residents. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Leadership qualities that enable effective teamwork and supervision when needed; proactive attitude toward safety protocols.
