Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Dallas and the surrounding areas. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, completing work orders, and executing make-ready tasks to prepare homes for new residents. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with general home repairs, troubleshooting, and maintaining the quality and functionality of single-family rental homes. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for a skilled technician with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in delivering quality work. Necessary Skills & Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members. This role also requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple work orders while maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality standard of work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience performing make-ready tasks including painting, drywall repair, fixture replacement, and general home repairs General knowledge of residential maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance repair Familiarity with basic hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple properties Comfortable using mobile apps or tablets to receive and complete work orders Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally within the DFW area Strong communication and customer service skills Prior experience maintaining single-family homes preferred
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of relevant maintenance or make-ready experience Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions HVAC Certified (EPA or similar) required Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision Able to cover multiple sites (Reliable Personal Vehicle, legal driver's license) required Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in
