- 4:30pm Position Summary Grandpappy Point Marina is seeking motivated and dependable Dock Repair Workers to assist with the repair, maintenance, and construction of marina docks, walkways, slips, and related waterfront facilities.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors, using hand and power tools, and performing physical labor in a marine environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and maintain marina docks, piers, gangways, and waterfront structures.
Replace damaged decking, flotation components, hardware, and structural members.
Perform basic carpentry, construction, and maintenance tasks.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Assist with dock installation, modifications, and expansion projects.
Secure dock hardware, cleats, bumpers, and utility connections.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow all marina safety procedures and workplace regulations.
Assist customers and marina staff as needed during repair projects.
Operate power tools (drill, saw, etc...).
Qualifications
Previous construction, carpentry, maintenance, or marine experience preferred.
Ability to use common hand and power tools.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Candidates must be able to swim and work safely around waterfront areas.
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
Stand, bend, climb, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Work on floating docks and near water for extended periods.
