The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools, and assists other members of the Maintenance Department in various machine/building repairs.

Essential Functions/Job Requirements:

• Tooling maintenance (sharpening, cleaning, inventorying)
• The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools, and assists other members of the Maintenance Department in various machine/building repairs
• Performs regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and building
• Assists in the repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications
• Orders supplies and parts as required
• Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities
• Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
• Prepares various reports as required

Qualifications:

• Ability to work safely in all conditions.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• Minimum 4-years' experience in the field of maintenance is required.
• Must be detail oriented and have a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, kneeling, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting of up to 80 lbs.
• Able to complete part requisition forms and work-order paperwork to document work performed.
• Focused on strictly adhering to safety procedures such as "lock-out, tag-out."
• Results-oriented
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving
• Organized with strong time management skills
• Good communicators, able to work through problems with other team members or equipment vendors
• Reasonably computer literate
• Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese a PLUS Shift /

Hours:

• 1st Shift - Monday to Friday
• 7am to 3:30pm
• Overtime is expected, including some

Saturdays Pay Rate:
