Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fence Builder and bring outdoor spaces to life with expertly crafted, durable fences! In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing fences that enhance privacy, security, and aesthetic appeal for residential and commercial clients. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail will ensure each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your carpentry expertise, and contribute to beautiful landscape transformations. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fence installation. Measure and mark fencing layouts on various terrains using tools like tape measures, levels, and chalk lines. Cut and assemble building materials such as wood, metal, vinyl, or composite fencing using hand tools and power tools. Dig post holes, set concrete forms, and pour concrete to secure fence posts firmly in place. Install fencing panels, gates, hardware, and other components with precision while adhering to safety protocols. Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely during construction site activities. Maintain a clean work environment by handling construction materials properly and disposing of debris responsibly. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Proficiency in carpentry techniques with a focus on frame carpentry and building material installation. Strong ability to read construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills, levels, and measuring devices; experienced with power tools including nail guns and post drivers. Knowledge of fence installation methods across different materials like wood, vinyl, metal or composite fencing systems. Experience in heavy lifting, outdoor work environments, and construction site safety procedures. Familiarity with welding techniques for metal fences or structural components is a plus. Ability to interpret technical drawings related to masonry or for foundational work. Understanding of landscape maintenance or hardscape projects enhances versatility on construction sites.
