Job Description

Position Overview The Maintenance Technician II performs general and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical components of production equipment.

POSTED FOR CONTRACTOR CONVERSION PURPOSES

Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance related field Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift): Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl Climb using both legs and arms Head/neck movement Reach outward or above the shoulder Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds Repetitive use of hands and fingers Ability to identify and safely use vibrating tools and hand tools. Depth perception required Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts and components; ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and identify schematic symbols. Knowledge of industrial safety requirements for work involving hazardous, flammable, and potentially explosive materials/environments, including strict adherence to LOTO and COHE procedures. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preventive maintenance & troubleshooting of industrial systems. May be required to work on equipment outdoors. General understanding of industrial safety principles Ability to self-manage work priorities Must be flexible, participate in an on-call schedule, and complete mandatory overtime rotations as needed. Desired Skills Associate's degree or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance preferred Experience with PLCs, Welding/Fabrication, Robotics and automated painting processes Ability to perform root cause analysis Demonstrates a consistent team mind set and positive attitude Ability to self-manage work priorities Communicates clearly to ensure expected results Customer focused and drives for results Basic computer skills Benefits and Compensation This position offers competitive hourly pay along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee wellbeing.
