Job Description

The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our Roadway Maintenance team. Whether you are looking to start a career in roadway maintenance or bring previous maintenance and equipment experience to the team, NTTA offers opportunities at multiple skill levels. Candidates may be considered for Laborer, Maintenance Technician I, or Maintenance Technician II based on their experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills. What You'll Do As part of NTTA's Roadway Maintenance team, you will help maintain safe, reliable, and well-kept roadways for the millions of drivers who travel our system. Depending on position and experience level, responsibilities may include: Performing general roadway, facility, and right-of-way maintenance Assisting with repairs and preventative maintenance of roadway infrastructure Operating hand tools, power tools, vehicles, and maintenance equipment Performing debris removal, cleanup, and other roadway maintenance activities Supporting emergency response and roadway-related incidents as needed Setting up and maintaining safe work zones and traffic control Performing physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Following NTTA safety procedures, policies, and established maintenance standards Working independently and as part of a team to complete assigned projects and daily maintenance activities Opportunities at Multiple Experience Levels Laborer A great opportunity for candidates interested in beginning a career in roadway maintenance. This position provides hands-on experience while supporting general maintenance activities and learning NTTA equipment, procedures, and safety practices. Maintenance Technician I Designed for candidates with applicable maintenance, construction, roadway, equipment, or related experience who are prepared to take on additional responsibility and independently perform a broader range of maintenance activities. Maintenance Technician II Intended for more experienced maintenance professionals who possess advanced skills, equipment knowledge, and the ability to perform more complex roadway maintenance activities. $18.50 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
