Maintenance Technician

KP Staffing is looking for Maintenance Technician located in Garland Texas for a manufacturing facility. In this role, you will: Plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment, machinery, and systems, ensuring that they are in good working order to support our daily operations.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday Technician and a Weekend Overnight technician Monday through

Friday:

9am-6pm with possible overtime

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic evaluations on faulty electrical elements such as circuit boards, relays, switches, and motors Perform replacement on faulty circuit boards, switches, relays, and motors. Assist on site contractors Maintain a safe and organized shop area Remove and replace defective or inoperable parts Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, including overhead -replacing switches and shoes Recommend preventive maintenance to limit downtime Supervise mechanical and HVAC contractors on site. Perform miscellaneous electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs as needed. Ensures proper operation of warehouse machinery completing or supervising preventive maintenance on engines, motors, tools, and production machines Fabricate and install various shelves, brackets, stands, and buildings on site as needed to the general facility and outdoor upkeep (cleanup, debris removal, basic grounds support) as needed Performs duties that ensures building, equipment, and grounds remain safe, clean, and functional by performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Physical Requirements/Other Requirements Lift up to 50lbs Customer focused attitude Ability to perform various operations under minimum supervision, while maintaining requires level of quality and quantity. Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment by implementing documented improvements regularly. Experience with the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronics, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulics systems. Ability to organize and prioritize work activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must have solid electrical and mechanical skills. Must be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical blueprint, drawings, and schematics. Must demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little or no supervision. May assist on customer complaints during the investigation process. Education At Least 5 years' experience in an industrial or warehouse setting Possess excellent communication skills Excel in reading blue prints and schematics Ability to work in tight locations as well as heights. Ability to work in extreme temperatures Ability to keep a supply list and keep consumables stocked Ability to quickly diagnose faulty equipment and come up with a plan to fix it. Ability to weld and use shop equipment Ability to fabricate parts needed for repair
