Maintenance Technician Short Description Ameritube is seeking a dependable and experienced Hands-On Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on mechanical skills and experience working with industrial or manufacturing equipment. This position requires someone who is comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment to diagnose problems and make repairs. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with production personnel and management to keep equipment operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Required Skills / Qualifications Hands-on experience performing maintenance and repairs on industrial or manufacturing equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repair. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Experience replacing and repairing mechanical components. Knowledge of bearings, belts, chains, gears, pulleys, shafts, and lubrication systems. Ability to disassemble, repair, adjust, and reassemble machinery. Experience performing preventative maintenance. Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Ability to read basic equipment manuals, maintenance instructions, and diagrams. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills. Reliable attendance and a positive attitude. Ability to respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs in a timely manner. Preferred Experience 3+ years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred. Experience working with heavy manufacturing equipment. Experience with mechanical repair and preventative maintenance. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Experience in a metal manufacturing or processing environment is a plus. Electrical or PLC experience is a plus but not required . Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in difficult-to-access areas. Ability to lift and carry tools, parts, and maintenance equipment. Ability to work around machinery, heat, noise, dust, and other manufacturing conditions. Ability to wear required PPE. Ability to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts when necessary to support production.
