2 Houston, TX Job Details 12 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off 401(k) 4% Match Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications OSHA (regulatory compliance area) Computer operation Fair Housing regulations High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Your role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the physical integrity of the community by ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff maintenance responsibilities.
What you will do:
Diagnose and perform minor or routine preventative maintenance or repair on all units and equipment Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services of apartments after move out Use expert knowledge to abide by pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials Create and assist with work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner Schedule vendors and contractors/responsible for curb appeal Ensure all amenities and grounds are finished and ready for review Walk move-outs to assess damages/issues and reports results to the Maintenance Supervisor What you will bring: Two or more years of experience in related field EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills Works as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently Ability to operate a computer, phone system and general office equipment Must be able to take calls for emergency requests Must have a valid driver's license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties May need to drive a golf cart Company provided uniforms IND1 What we offer: Great benefits, including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision, behavioral health and more) on the first of the month following 30 days of employment 401(k) Savings Plan (4% employer match; 100% vested immediately) Company paid life insurance (1x base salary) Paid Time Off package with a carryover provision Training and career development opportunities Company Apparel Store allowance Who we are: Davis Development is a privately owned luxury apartment developer and property management company with 25+ years in the industry and a best-in-class reputation.
