KP Staffing Houston is now hiring Die maintenance technicians (extrusion & drawing) in Humble, Texas! Job Summary The die maintenance technician (extrusion & drawing) will ensure the proper functionality, maintenance, and optimal condition of extrusion and drawing dies to support production continuity and product quality standards. This role also supports tooling readiness, inspections, inventory control, and process improvement in manufacturing operations. Pay $22 - $26 per hour Shift 1st shift Duties Manage tooling lifecycle including creation, usage, maintenance, disposal, and replacement requests Perform die maintenance activities such as polishing, reconditioning, and minor machining according to technical specifications Conduct dimensional inspections and technical evaluations of dies and tooling to ensure compliance with design and quality standards Analyze tooling performance and support root cause analysis for product defects or process deviations Prepare, assemble, and ensure readiness of tooling sets for extrusion and drawing operations based on production plans Control and manage tooling inventory using SAP, including stock levels, traceability, and system updates Record and report maintenance activities, tooling conditions, and production data in systems for traceability and continuous improvement Support process optimization in extrusion and drawing operations, collaborating with production teams to improve efficiency and quality Ensure proper use, handling, and preservation of tools, equipment, and work environment standards Comply with safety, quality, and operational procedures, reporting risks, deviations, and incidents in a timely manner Qualifications High school diploma Technical training in machining, tooling, or related field preferred Equivalent hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance experience will be considered At least 1 year of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments Knowledge of die maintenance, polishing, and dimensional metrology preferred Familiarity with industrial safety, quality, and environmental standards Ability to work rotating shifts Strong teamwork and communication skills Strong safety mindset Ability to work under pressure Job Type Direct Hire
