Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Technician to join our dynamic team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of garage doors and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure our customers enjoy safe, reliable, and functional garage door systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical skills, technical knowledge, and customer service abilities while working on diverse projects that keep your day engaging and rewarding. Duties Install, repair, and replace garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, and hardware with precision and efficiency Conduct inspections to diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete installations and repairs Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building codes to ensure compliance during installation projects Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for door hanging, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and remodeling projects Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and building code regulations Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs or installations clearly and professionally Requirements Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or remodeling with a focus on door installation or similar trades Mechanical knowledge of garage door systems and related electrical work for openers and safety sensors Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools effectively Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and strenuous tasks regularly throughout the workday Strong understanding of building code compliance related to garage door installation and safety standards Experience with locksmithing or metal stud framing is a plus but not required Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients Join us as a Garage Door Technician where your hands-on skills meet your passion for craftsmanship!
