Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred. Experience Requirements Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience preferred Knowledge of tooling, manufacturing processes, and machine components preferred Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred Proficient computer skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Job Duties Purchase tooling, machine parts, materials, goods, and services in accordance with company policies and procedures Research vendors, suppliers, replacement parts, machine materials, and service providers to support operational needs Negotiate pricing, terms, and sourcing options to secure cost-effective solutions Create, process, and track purchase orders while expediting urgent orders as needed Coordinate replacement parts and resolve missing or delayed shipments Maintain inventory records and monitor equipment, supply, and material usage across facilities Track stock levels and ensure critical supplies remain available Enter and maintain maintenance work orders within the COGZ Maintenance System Maintain accurate purchasing and maintenance records Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Purchaser. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift. Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
