Texas Zoofari Park is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is committed to maintaining the beauty and appearance of the zoo. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude who is willing to assist wherever needed to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests. Position Summary Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of zoo grounds and facilities. This position reports directly to the
Director, Assistant Director and Guest Service Manager Position Type:
Full-Time Starting Pay:
$16.00 per hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the appearance and aesthetics of the park, including but not limited to mowing, weed eating, spraying, trimming, and painting. Operate and maintain equipment, including performing routine cleaning and minor repairs. Safely operate equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and other grounds maintenance machinery. Assist with construction, maintenance, and improvement projects throughout the park. Conduct guided wagon tours and interact professionally with guests. Provide excellent customer service while representing Texas Zoofari Park. Complete additional projects as assigned by the management team, including pressure washing, painting, landscaping, and general maintenance. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications and Requirements Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Experience operating equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and backhoes preferred. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision. Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude. Reliable transportation required. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. Facial piercings are not permitted while on duty. Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
