We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II with a strong background in facility systems and material handling equipment to support operations in a fast-paced cold storage environment. Position Overview As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facility infrastructure as well as material handling equipment. This role emphasizes general building maintenance, building infrastructure maintenance, and MHE/forklift support. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded mechanical skillset, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to overall facility reliability. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building infrastructure, including dock doors, overhead doors, and related systems. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing effective solutions. Maintain and troubleshoot material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Identify and resolve mechanical and basic electrical issues within the facility. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure uptime and operational efficiency. Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed. Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment. Assist in troubleshooting and repairs of other facility equipment as needed. Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Experience in facility maintenance, MHE/forklift repair, or related mechanical fields preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with mechanical systems; basic electrical knowledge preferred.
Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
Adaptability:
Willingness to learn and support multiple maintenance disciplines.
Physical Requirements:
