Available Benefits Help for . Utility Maintenance Crew Leader I/II The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of general repair and maintenance duties for the Line Repair Department. May drive a Vactor truck or dump truck. This is a safety sensitive and/or DOT position. As such, you will be required to participate in random drug testing at the city. Job Functions The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Installs, maintains, and repairs City water and sewer lines.

Maintains equipment and cleans hand tools and job sites.

Assists in keeping daily records of all operations.

Stocks crew truck with parts.

Addresses customer complaints and problems.

Performs on-call after hour duties.

Operate, as required, a Vactor truck to clean water and sewer mains.

Assists in training new hires.

Performs related work as required.

Must be able to provide services for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of League Citys citizens, and that, City employees must be able to work immediately before, during, or immediately after an emergency. Qualifications High school diploma (or GED equivalent) Required Licenses/Certifications Must obtain Class D Water Operator license issued by TCEQ within 18 months of employment Background This position may require pre-employment drug and background screening, with ongoing testing during employment during employment per the Drug-Free Workplace Policy; Candidates with criminal backgrounds will not be considered Pay $17.28

  • $25.05 Benefits Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our standard benefits program which includes: Vacation leave accruals at the rate of 3.33 hours per pay period x 24 pay periods;
