Job Description

Essential Functions A Ziegenfelder Maintenance Technician is responsible for:
  • Ensuring production equipment is set up and maintained to produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers.
  • Preparing and configuring machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics (PLC's), and hydraulic systems and providing immediate corrective maintenance support to production lines, conveyor belts, and ancillary production equipment.
  • Checking and maintaining proper fluid levels in various pieces of equipment.
  • Performing overhauls of existing production equipment.
  • Completing daily checks of the ammonia refrigeration, boiler, and air systems.
  • Inspecting and repairing various facility items as directed by your manager.
  • Installing new production equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Complying with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • This position is responsible for the food safety of our products. Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance ideally in a food environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role, preferably in the food manufacturing environment or equivalent/relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment highly preferred or equivalent/relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a machinist, if applicable.
  • Industrial electrical experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
  • Ability to motivate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must be flexible in working any shift available for this position Physical Abilities
  • Standing up to 8 hours per day.
  • Moving and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Bending, twisting, reaching and grasping actions.
  • Good spatial awareness working around manufacturing equipment.
  • Subject to cold temperatures of less than 32F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment.
  • May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment. Working Conditions

Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay:
$26.00/hour
Schedule:
40 hours per week with set days off
