Job Overview Innovative Life Sciences (ILS Gummies), a fast-growing nutraceutical manufacturer based in McKinney, Texas, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production family, you will ensure our manufacturing equipment operates at peak performance to deliver the highest quality vitamin supplement products to our partners. Your role will support our commitment to quality, consistency, and innovation, enabling our partners to provide their customers with trusted brands.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance :
Perform general maintenance tasks, including cleaning, greasing, and servicing manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Preventive Maintenance (PMS) : Conduct routine preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions, including lubrication, calibration, and part replacements as needed.
Equipment Inspections :
Regularly inspect equipment to assess productivity levels, identify worn-out parts, and initiate replacements with high-quality, properly fitted components to maintain maximum efficiency.
Guideline Adherence :
Ensure factory workers and equipment users follow manufacturers' guidelines to optimize tool functionality and prevent misuse.
Training and Instruction :
Teach and guide workers on proper equipment operation to enhance safety and efficiency, reducing the risk of accidents caused by incorrect usage.
Troubleshooting :
Diagnose equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot specific issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Safety Compliance :
Strictly adhere to safety regulations during maintenance and manufacturing activities, mitigating mechanical hazards to protect operators and workers.
Record Keeping :
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities to track equipment lifespan and identify patterns of frequent breakdowns, recommending replacements when necessary.
Communication :
Collaborate with management and clients to report equipment faults, recommend maintenance strategies, and prioritize daily work orders based on urgency and importance.
Qualifications:
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, preferably in a nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food production environment.
Shift:
Monday to Friday 1:00PM-9:30PM (Open to work on Saturdays)
Skills:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems. Excellent communication and training skills to educate team members. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery. Why Join ILS Gummies?
