Paid Time Off Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
Identify and report safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager
Report equipment, component and service needs to Maintenance Manager
Perform maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Prioritize safety needs and unexpected downtime reported throughout the plant and assure timely resolution
Maintain a basic knowledge of all equipment operations
Diagnose and correct hydraulic, electrical and PLC issues on extrusion presses and other equipment
Perform routine preventive maintenance
Maintain a good attendance record
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Self-driven with a strong ability to work with others, good communication in a team environment as well as critical thinking skills. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulics, PLC controls, various electrical components and gas-powered ovens and furnaces.
Preferred Qualification:
Strong quality control background in the aluminum manufacturing industry. Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma preferred, 2 years in industrial maintenance.
Language/Communication Skills:
English speaking is required, bilingual is ideal.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills with an ability to learn PLC programming and troubleshooting
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
